Mema was born on July 19th, 1927, to the late Clarence and Effie Mae Lawson. Mema was preceded by five brothers:
James, Doyle, Frankie, Lacy, and Clarence (a.k.a. Bug) Lawson and one sister, Bessie Lawson;
and survived by two brothers: G.W. (Betty) Lawson and Tony (Mary) Lawson. Mema married the love of her life,
the late Charles Arthur Thomas, on May 7, 1947. Mema was blessed with three boys:
Charles Perry Thomas (Janice), Phillip Ray Thomas (Debora), and the late Arthur Terry Thomas (Wanda):
and one daughter, the late Phyllis Mae Thomas. She enjoyed spoiling seven grandchildren:

great-great-grandmother which is a rare thing these days to three great-great-granddaughters: Andie Wright(Cassie),
Reighlee and Juliette Meeks(Autumn). Mema was a member of Hickerson Station Church of Christ.
She worked at Tennessee Apparel. She was also a Home Interiors Displayer where she decorated homes
with the beauty of design and her love of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She also worked at Wal-Mart as a Wal-Mart Door Greeter, which was fitting to her outgoing and spunky attitude.
Mema was a social butterfly to the core. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening, November 21, 2014, from 6PM until 8PM,
in the Chapel of Tullahoma Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2PM, Saturday, November 22, 2014,
